SOMERS FALL JR. BOY'S LACROSSE
Somers Fall Ball is BACK!
The Somers Lacrosse Association is excited to bring back our yearly fall ball program. We've received some great feedback and we will continue to make it as engaging and easy as possible for the teams and families that participate every year.
This is a low cost, low barrier to entry, and fun program for ALL skill levels. We created the program to give towns and players a great reason to pick up their sticks, and grow your teams throughout the offseason! This is a very good opportunity for teams to continue to evolve, learn how to move the ball together, and continue to build the chemistry and stick skills needed to win more lax games in the spring.
Fall Ball is a 6 game season of lacrosse designed to be more skill based than your spring season. There is NO HITTING allowed and it is not a full contact league. Refs will be calling games very tightly! We want to see good ball movement, spacing, and using your stick skills to get the job done.
Every player who plans to attend a fall ball game must be registered in the program, with a valid USA Lacrosse ID. There will be a required TEAM and YEAR portion of your registration. Make sure you fill this out so we can make sure you are on the correct teams.
To make a FULL TEAM you need...
Coaches, at least 10 players, and a Goalie
12 - 14 players with a goalie works the best!
Some towns may have to combine depending on numbers. If we have enough for a full FREE AGENT team, we will create one and I will coach it myself.
Coaches please register as a COACH instead of a player, and let us know what town and what town and year you plan to Coach. Thank you for stepping up and helping out your teams! There will not be a drop down that makes you register a team individually. We will require parents/players to fill out that TOWN/YEAR portion and can easily organize it from there.
Rosters will be emailed out a week prior to our start and we can make sure to make any changes needed and everyone will be squared away. As long as you can communicate with Kyle, we are very flexible and able to help everyone out.
If players are not signed up through crossbar, they are NOT permitted to play in the league. This is very important for insurance purposes!
